Epithrive® is a precision-formulated oral supplement that supports healing from within — delivering targeted amino acids, HMB, and micronutrients to address the nutritional deficiencies that delay chronic wound recovery.
Affecting up to 25% of diabetic patients in their lifetime, DFUs are the leading cause of non-traumatic lower-limb amputations.
Stage III–IV pressure ulcers are a significant burden in ICU and bedridden patients, associated with high morbidity.
Chronic venous insufficiency creates persistent, recurring ulcers that respond poorly without targeted nutritional support.
Nutritional deficits post-operatively extend hospital stays and increase infection risk, particularly in elderly patients.
Wound healing is fundamentally a systemic biological process. When patients are nutritionally depleted — as is common in diabetic, elderly, and critically ill populations — the body lacks the raw materials to execute tissue repair effectively.
Standard wound dressings and topical therapies address the wound surface. Epithrive® addresses the internal environment — replenishing the amino acids, cofactors, and micronutrients that healing demands.
Epithrive® is not a cream or a dressing. It is an oral clinical nutrition supplement that works at the cellular level — providing the substrate that drives collagen synthesis, immune defence, and tissue regeneration.
Delivers bioavailable amino acids directly into the healing cascade — from fibroblast proliferation to angiogenesis.
Designed to complement — not replace — dressings, debridement, and offloading. Fills the nutritional gap that topical therapies cannot address.
Convenient sachet format enables consistent dosing in ward settings, outpatient clinics, and home care environments.
The four pillars of nutritional wound healing — each targeted by Epithrive®'s formulation.
Arginine is the rate-limiting substrate for collagen production. Adequate arginine supplementation supports fibroblast activity and structural tissue repair — the physical scaffolding of wound healing.
Glutamine is the primary fuel for rapidly dividing immune cells. Its depletion in stressed or malnourished patients impairs macrophage function and prolongs the inflammatory phase of wound healing.
Arginine is the sole substrate for nitric oxide synthesis. Nitric oxide promotes vasodilation, improves local blood flow to the wound bed, and exhibits direct antimicrobial activity.
HMB (β-hydroxy-β-methylbutyrate) helps attenuate excessive muscle catabolism and modulates inflammatory pathways — preserving lean body mass while supporting the healing environment.

Supporting Micronutrients
Epithrive® is formulated to support nutritional requirements across major chronic, acute, and surgical wound categories.
Supports healing in hyperglycaemic environments where impaired neutrophil function and reduced collagen synthesis delay recovery.
Targets the nutritional deficits common in immobile and bedridden patients, including Stage II–IV pressure injuries.
Provides systemic nutritional support for patients with chronic venous insufficiency and recurrent wound breakdown.
Supports tissue viability by improving the nutritional environment in peripheral vascular disease patients.
Bridges the nutritional gap in the perioperative period — particularly in patients undergoing abdominal, orthopaedic, and cardiac procedures — where protein demands are acutely elevated and intake is often compromised.
Addresses the profound hypermetabolic and hypercatabolic state in burn patients, where amino acid depletion is rapid and healing demands are extreme.
Supports nutritional recovery in chronic non-healing wounds, traumatic lacerations, and wounds stalled in the inflammatory phase.
The individual nutrients in Epithrive® — L-Arginine, L-Glutamine, and HMB — have each been studied in wound healing populations. Clinical observations with targeted amino acid supplementation include improvements in key healing parameters.
⚠ Note: Evidence cited refers to studies on individual ingredients. Epithrive®-specific clinical trial data is under active development. Clinical evidence for combination formulations may vary.
Most wound care interventions work at the wound surface. Epithrive® works at the systemic level — where healing is actually orchestrated.
Works internally through oral delivery — reaching the systemic environment where healing decisions are made.
Replenishes the amino acids and cofactors that are depleted under metabolic stress — the fundamental bottleneck in chronic wound recovery.
Designed to work alongside dressings, debridement, compression, and antibiotic therapy — not as a replacement.

Epithrive® is intended for use under medical supervision in patients with documented wounds and nutritional risk.
Particularly Type 2 diabetic patients with active DFU, compromised vascular status, or a history of slow wound healing and recurrent ulceration.
Patients with prolonged immobility and pressure ulcer risk, including ICU patients on mechanical ventilation where nutritional status is critically important.
Patients following major surgical procedures where protein requirements are elevated and oral intake may be suboptimal during the recovery phase.
Geriatric patients where age-related decline in protein synthesis, immune function, and appetite creates an unfavourable healing environment.
Epithrive® is designed for straightforward clinical administration, with a convenient sachet format that supports patient compliance in both hospital and home settings.
Empty the contents of one sachet into a clean glass or cup.
Add 150–200 ml of room temperature or cold water. Stir well until fully dissolved.
Take as directed by the treating physician. Typically administered once to twice daily with or after meals.
10 sachets per box · Oral powder
Patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) or renal impairment should use Epithrive® only under close medical supervision. Arginine and glutamine load may need evaluation in patients with significantly reduced GFR.
Epithrive® is a clinical nutrition supplement and is not intended for self-medication. Use only as directed by a qualified healthcare professional familiar with the patient's full clinical picture.
Epithrive® is an adjunct to — not a replacement for — standard wound care. It should be used alongside appropriate wound management, offloading, infection control, and glycaemic management.
